چکیده
Lightweight core topologies have been considered as an advanced alternative to improve the overall performance of sandwich structures in bending. Designed beams containing 3D printed cores conventional honeycomb, re-entrant auxetic honeycomb with two positions cells, and chiral were created CATIA V5. The manufactured from polylactic acid polymer (PLA) by fused deposition modeling (FDM) using Ultimaker 3 Extended printer. Three-point bending testing was conducted on Instron 8872 machine following ASTM C393-20, obtain strength, stiffness, energy absorption for these three designed topologies. Comments cores' response are done together observations concerning their failure.

LQG vibration control of sandwich beams with transversely flexible core equipped with piezoelectric patches
The purpose of this paper is control of simply supported flexible core sandwich beam's linear vibration equipped with piezoelectric patches under different loads. The effects of external forces imposed on sandwich beam can be reached to a minimum value by designing an appropriate controller and control the beam's vibration. Three-layer sandwich beam theory is used for analytical modeling of san...
متن کاملReview of Sandwich Beams with Functionally Graded Core
An elasticity solution is obtained for a sandwich beam with a functionally graded core subjected to transverse loads. The sandwich is subdivided into four elements, the top and bottom face-sheets, and top and bottom halves of the sandwich core. Euler-Bernoulli beam theory is used to model the face-sheets and plane elasticity equations are used to analyze the core. The Young’s modulus of the cor...
متن کاملFlexural-torsional stability of sandwich tapered I-beams with a functionally graded porous core
The present research deals with the flexural-torsional buckling analysis of sandwich web and/or flanges tapered doubly-symmetric I-beam. All section walls are composed of two metal face layers and a functionally graded (FG) porous core. It is assumed that the material properties of the porous core vary gradually in the longitudinal direction according to the simple power-law function considerin...
متن کاملA Study of Indentation Energy in Three Points Bending of Sandwich beams with Composite Laminated Faces and Foam Core
This paper deals with analysis of flexural stiffness, indentation and their energies in three point loading of sandwich beams with composite faces from Eglass/epoxy and cores from Polyurethane or PVC. Energy is consumed in three stages of indentation in laminated beam, indentation of sandwich beam and bending of sandwich beam. Theory of elasticity is chosen to present equations for indentation ...
متن کاملBending Behavior of Sandwich Plates with Aggregated CNT-Reinforced Face Sheets
The main aim of this paper is to investigate bending behavior in sandwich plates with functionally graded carbon nanotube reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) face sheets with considering the effects of carbon nanotube (CNT) aggregation. The sandwich plates are assumed resting on Winkler-Pasternak elastic foundation and a mesh-free method based on first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) is devel...
